I never said dude doesn't deserve props. He's very accomplished, he makes good music, he has a big following.Well a lot of people give Drake props, specially a lot of rappers.
A lot of rappers probably don't (never heard of them).
We can't make any statistical inference of whether he do or don't deserve props. All we know is a lot of people think he deserves the props, including highly respectable figures in hiphop. Others don't you being one of my few references to those people. But you're just as entitled to your opinion as Premo.
And I've yet to see anyone say that he had direct influence on every rapper, besides yourself.
What people is saying it that he had influence on the game, labels and it's fans, to start accepting lyrical skills, technical skills etc as the main factors in mainstream hiphop again. Cause obviously it wasn't before his generation.
But the idea that he brought lyricism back... I don't see it. And you don't either, according to your reasoning. "Hes at the top of the game, so he deserves props for everything happening in it". Nah. He's never been the most lyrical dude in the mainstream, and when he came in the game there were significantly more lyrical mainstream rappers (Eminem, Twista, Lupe), so how can he be credited with bringing lyricism back? It was already here
