The thing is I don't think Drake was serious, like he probably thought that he was being funny joking with Buddens.

Let's also not forget how Drake had members of the OVO camp chasing people down offering them money for any dirt on Push..which they found none :mjlol::francis::heh:

Yeah, this is really what comes down to it when people say the diss was a miss and nobody cared about it.

Drake is someone that's seen as Teflon -- top of the charts for a decade, and other rappers have taken shots at him to no effect. He went from Degrassi Teen Nickelodeon rapper to one of the biggest artists on the planet. So if someone as "irrelevant" as Pusha T can get Drake so uncomfortable to where he actually had to go look for information for a response diss track... Doesn't that speak more for Pusha's pen than anything else?

Even if we say that the digging for info part is a lie, we still have him being visibly upset on that show with Lebron, regarding the 40 line. Which is completely within his right, because that's his best friend who's ill, anybody would feel negative about it. But again, if Pusha was really irrelevant as some people want to say he is, Drake would've given Infrared an "Lol" and moved on. He wouldn't have even dropped Duppy.

And people need to stop making it sound like Pusha T was some SoundCloud rapper prior to all of this lmao, when he's been GOOD-affiliated for quite a long time (is the President now) and had Clipse prior to that -- and we all know Clipse.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
No real man with any level of human decency thinks it's ok to make fun of terminal illness.

I don't care how many examples you use they are all wrong.

Same thing with dissing a child.

fukk you.

The entire diss was corny

Shaderoom gossip mixed with elementary school cracks
Routinely bring innocent women, like Virginia and Nicki, into their mans rap battle, then try and establish rules and regulations when it turns on you brehs

Y’all obviously still don’t understand the diss. Drake brought up that mans WIFE. For no reason whatsoever. Then dissed Ye for taking sides with the guy he’s actually known longer and in business with.

The entire “diss” is a breakdown of why this super famous, mega star, ultimate cool ass nikka isn’t anything he seems. He’s a Jew with daddy abandonment issues who turned around and abandoned his son.

Broke him down. Layer by layer. Then dissed his producer like drake dissed his. If this was chatty patty and too far, then what was pac gossiping about faith, speaking of killing kids and dissing a whole group of people who had nothing to do with it, one with a illness that he spoke on?

This is hip hop. EDM is that way :camby:

I'm not a street dude, but even I know better than to go speak on somebody's parent, their children or lady. I would never want that kind of smoke, why would you even invite that? So when Drake thought it was slick to go mention Pusha's fiancée, I can see why all the gloves came off.

You could argue that the line wasn't serious enough to have Pusha respond the way he did, but that's why you don't go there. You can't tell someone how to react when you put loved ones in the crosshairs, I mean he reacted very negatively to the 40 line. Drake fukked around and got his whole family tree scorched, only one that might've been safe was his Grandma in that old Much Music interview back in the day.

Pusha T still irrelevent and Drake still the big dog, what effect did the diss really have? Who says Drake didn't find the dirt? Just because you know it doesn't mean u need to tell it. But yall love these chatty patty nikkas like 50 and Push

Then why didn't he use it? He crucified Meek for way less, and you're saying he found bullets and chose to not use them? I'm not buying the bridge breh. Even if this were the case, it'd be dumb on Drake's end because by doing IG shenanigans and dropping Duppy, it showed he was with all the smoke. Drake was silent for two-three weeks, that's not a good look.

Also nobody ever said that Pusha was going to be a superstar and make Drake have to work the late shift at Walgreens, it's just a rap battle that's on wax. Why should this make the diss ineffective? Irrelevancy is a reoccurring point, but he wasn't to Drake -- Drake was a Clipse Stan back in the day. And again, if he felt Push was so irrelevant, he would've paid Infrared dust.

But to circle back to your first point... "y'all love these chatty patty nikkas like 50 and Push." So Push can't air out what he has, but it's okay for Drake to dig for info and possibly use it? Not to mention, consistently take digs at KANYE about some shyt that we don't know about that would damage his career? Both sides are chatty patty when they want to be. Let's not forget that Drake uses subliminal shots regularly too. The Virginia Williams line alone is chatty patty, because what was that line even supposed to mean? It's clear that it touched a nerve and it backfired immensely, so either way, that's out the window.

So you think Drake was mad enough to do an interview about the diss record 6 months after it came out....found some kinda dirt....but randomly decided not to use it? :gucci:

I mean....what kinda logic is that? shyt makes no sense whatsoever.

And as far as chatty patty..."Back To Back" was damn near exclusively about Meek and Nicki's relationship. As long as Drake does it it's cool I guess. :manny:

I doubt it was true
