I understand both sides. He’s not really saying it’s wrong for Drizzy to do it. But as u can see the convo started off about Drake’s artists not really doing shyt while he’s a complete superstar. I mean it’s part of the reason him and Weeknd fell out and now Weeknd is arguably bigger than Drizzy. I don’t think that would’ve happened if he stayed under Drakes umbrella and let him take all his hot shyt continuously.

I mean its mutually beneficial. Drake is a big artist so it helps the newer artist get attention and streams and Drake might get a new style his ghostwriters can run with. It is what it is:manny:

It's for street credibility mostly. He'll hop on the latest hood booger anthem without fail, because while that audience typically moves from one flash in the pan to another, Drake is always visible to them. You rarely see him working with other lyricists because he sees them as threats to his brand

Weeknd always had his own thing though (and shyt, you could argue Weeknd has done more with XO than Drake has with OVO)
