The video is cool, definitely his best.....

And the more I really think about, it probably is the best thing he's ever done... I don't know anything that he has done as a rapper that was as impactful as this

God's Plan
matthew 6.1

hey, what his intentions were w/ those acts r between he and his God. clearly he changed those peoples lives. and from the looks of things it inspired others. song would've been a hit either way. to the same degree prolly not.

Everywhere...You never there.
Where the harm in charity and trying to make this a movement?

Who cares if it's marketing... Does the intent negate the benefit to the benefactors?

You think charity and aid organizations that blanket the world don't give with stipulations?

Brehs need a reality check.

I was in a recent discussion about this too ... all told, regardless of intentions, dropping a few stax on someone can get him/her through the month, allowing that person to breathe a little ...and that effect/result can’t be negated.

The World, but from BK
I don't really see anything wrong with the video. There's countless current hiphop of videos with kids and adults portraying negative images that get millions of views and props.

Drake makes a video showing himself looking out for folks and some people hate it and call it fake.

The worse this video can do is motivate other people to donate. I don't see the issue here.

Exactly, can't hate even if you wanted to right:mjcry:?

Im skeptical of anyone who's first reaction to the video is to hate.

Now maybe the 2nd or 3rd reaction I could understand:hubie:.

I don't know if Drake or somebody else came up with the idea and Drake just went along with it. You can't blame the guy for this feeling very real, even if it was meant as promo by the label. Drake showing love has appeared to have ulterior motives before, usually in the form of wave riding. But thats completely different than this, helping people down on their luckk or just showing them a good time.

You know what playa... I don’t even give a fukk. More nikkas needs to promote like this.

Meanwhile, you got nikkas trying to call Jay Z out for not doing enough just because he doesn't go and broadcast his good deeds such as this.

I'm not outraged or even mad about the gesture. But acting like he went to his personal account and handed out his own money is hilarious. Same shyt when Nicki tried to hand out (not her personal money) however much for tuition to distract people from the fact that Remy dragged her as. Hooray for charity.

Let's be reality though. It's well in his right to shoot a vid and use it for promo or even inspiration. But it's not "hate" or even a personal knock on Drake when people point out how it was presented for PR purposes. Anybody with some kind self awareness would know that making a big deal out of your charitable deeds is probably going to be met with some skepticism.

I'll put it like this, if you were down on your luck, just lost your job, rent was due and family was hungry and someone gave you some cash and posted it all over social media that u were in need and they gave you a $1000 and you had to see that every day on tv, how would that make you feel?

Don't be hatin on a nikka just because he payed a months worth of your expenses and turned you into his own personal Sally Struthers, feed the children commercial. You're poor, the fukk you need dignity for...you can't eat dignity.
