No lie this shyt tough , but do ya geninuely believe he wrote this ?
Lyrically, this is one of the weaker "time, place" tracks he dropped.
I could believe that he wrote this one.
Either that or Hush's pen is getting weak.

How did he write on Take Care, when this interview was before Thank Me Later? Dude is saying he wasn't Drake's writer. He said Drake could spit and did mostly hook work and helped craft some verses and answered questions about song structure. None of that shyt is uncommon in the industry especially if you have a crew and frequent collaborators. Dude wrote one verse and all of a sudden people saying he wrote all of early Drake's material. He said he helped write a hook on "Room For Improvement"....which was Drake's first mixtape. Which is what I said.
He said he wrote at least one whole verse on "Take Care", which wasn't credited. When asked does he write parts of other verses he said:
Interview: Nickelus F Talks Exterminator Day Job, Discovering Portishead, & Writing For Drake
I'mthat the original dude said "what is it, besides some hooks?"
Now it's "what is it besides some hooks, partial verses, and an entire verse?"
Never mind Hush having writing credits on 90% of the songs, too. Like I said, just enjoy the music.
Fred.
nikka, I'm rarely in any of them unless they appear in my notifications."Fully"
So are you saying he was only "partly" exposed?
This chic got Google Alerts set on Drake Coli threads. Only time she comes to The Booth.
Maybe I'm projecting thennikka, I'm rarely in any of them unless they appear in my notifications.![]()
Figured she was one of "those" kinda fans lol"Fully"

He ain't say that
Complex: Have you ever helped him with a verse?
Nickelus F: Yeah, I've contributed. I'm a team player. I won't say I wrote a verse that he spit verbatim, but I've contributed. I helped out with the hook on "City Is Mine" the hook on "Overdose On Life." I didn't do anything on the verse at all.
Complex: So anyone who says, "Nickelus F writes for Drake" would be mistaken?
Nickelus F: Yes. Have I done work here and there? Yes I have. Do I write for him on a regular basis? No. Have I written for him on a regular basis? No.

Complex: But you have written for him before?
Nickelus F: Verses?
Complex: Yeah.
Nickelus F: Yes, I have done a verse. Not a bunch of verses. I have helped out with hooks and one verse in particular. But I don't write no verses for him.
Complex: What was that one verse in particular?
Nickelus F: I don't want to say! [Laughs].
My point is Drake still writes a lot of his shyt, just because you had co-writers and collaborators don't mean you don't write. Drake wrote the majority of those handful of tracks QM worked on, Drake wrote a lot of the If You're Reading This tape.I meant "So Far Gone". Hush was on "Take Care". Regardless, I'mat you quoting him saying he never wrote a verse, then in the same interview he point blank says:
What are we arguing about here, breh? This is exactly what I'm talking about. If this shyt don't matter and you just enjoy the music, why are we spitting hairs over how much help he has?
Does Hush being credited as a writer on half his songs matter? Do the reference tracks? Does "RICO"....which is clearly more than "a couple lines", like you claimed? How many bars out of 16 does Drake have to write, to get credit? You don't see the irony of even discussing this kind of shyt, for a rapper?
Again, just enjoy the music.
Fred.
