Why would you think that. I've never heard drake really on no boom bap shyt ever, maybe on that first mixtape but not on no album and nikkas ain't really fukking with no boom bap in 2013 like that

I'll stop short at calling it classic, but it definitely has potential to be his best work. It's more Concise than Take Care, more polished & focused than Thank Me Later, less corny than both...And the only songs I can see myself deleting are Hold On We're Going Home, Started From The Bottom (for obvious reasons) and 305 To My City ...Other than that, it flows pretty beautifully, and the production almost outshines the lyrics, but overall it's a solid effort. to Al B. Sure illegitimate son

40 is one of the most one dimensional, generic, simplistic producers ever

^damn near impossible to recreate...





if anything, 40 just got lazy on this album or spent too much time on the drums...his sound has been getting thinner and thinner. not sure why.
