While I don't know if Baby and Slim and Wayne and em are the people to do it, dude definitely needs an executive producer, or someone in his ear to tell him when shyt is hot and when it's not.

This is what I said off 1st listen and it's how I feel. Is it a horrible album? No. I think Drake does a great job on some of these tracks but on others he's just going through the Motions (Pun Intended). This album has more "Simp" subject matter than either of his last two albums. There's nothing wrong with Female oriented tracks but an entire album of that gets boring when you are trying to listen to a so called Hip Hop LP which again is really an RnB album with rap verses.

Musically some of the beats are NyQuil status. The album is way too slow, barely has any up tempo tracks. Drake's rhymes are basic, he's not saying much. Vocally he's still average but I think he's getting more confidence in his singing cause I felt like he took the most risk vocally on this joint. On par with "Thank Me Later". Not better than "Take Care". But there is no doubt that this is his most cohesive LP of his career socially and musically with him keeping the features down and song count down.

That pretty much sums up EXACTLY how i feel when I first listened to the album...and another thing this album doesn't have a lot of certified BANGERS like how Thank Me Later and Take Care had. I mean granted you do have Started From The Bottom, but other then that..that's pretty much it. Also, i hate to say this, but this album felt sorta incomplete without a Weezy or Nicki verse/hook. I'd never thought I would say that..

I mean after killing ALL those features last year and dropped 5 AM In Toronto..I expected Drizzy to come with more heat.

Who knows the album MIGHT grow on me with more listens..but as of right now it's very bleh to me..
