The family I don't get is the Christie's, Max was fortunate to get that deal from the Lakers considering the limited on court production but I don't get rushing both brothers to the league. That family is well off too.

Thats fair. However, he might have lucked up with Clippers losing PG and even Boston. So he might actually play.

But yea guys going pro just to go pro now days. Its crazy cause we just saw Clingan go top 7 this year after another year in college. These guys can improve their stock.

Bailey had no business coming out after one year at UCLA. He did alright in the tourney that year he was there, but by no means was it a Steph Curry at Davidson run. But these cats looking at that NBA money like: "it doesn't matter where I get drafted, I'm getting it" mentality and see how real it is once they get into the league. :francis: Needs to go to the D-League or go overseas for a few years, then try to come back a better player.

Yeah undersized guards and unathletic bigs should view NIL as a Godsend. They can stay in school, put up big numbers and become the stars of college ball making their NIL opportunities bigger.

With the way NIL going with these dudes getting bags at the college level I don't understand still wanting to hot shot it to the league. It ain't like it used to be, getting paid in college literally defeats the purpose of trying to rush to the league as fast as possible, shyt makes no sense. Especially when that reality hits and you ain't even coveted like that in the league.
This the social media era, it's not about the money, it's about the platform, and depending on the team the prestige.

The opportunity cost of making the league is too high if you're a lottery pick.

The NBA money different but its even less slots available, I cant speak on it but I know for sure having seen it in person dudes who left early for nfl, if they dont get picked in lets say first 50 picks woulda been better off staying in school.. Got fam who playing in cali and after taxes he probably made more in NIL last year, so imagine this year if he re upped..

Cassius Stanley, Brandon Boston, Amari Bailey, if Bronny lasts in the league longer than them we will know why
Boston was about as bad as a projected lottery 5 star freshman can be in college, then played for Calipari who'll give you one cycle with multiple studs and another with straight busts (Clarke - RIP and Boston were the bust cycle) AND he was playing on the Clips who were one of the deeper cores in the league

Tl;dr him at least, that's a really poor example. Those score first chucker type guys, I feel like they got a shorter shelf life to prove themselves than some other archetypes

These young players need to look at the lesson of that guy from Gonzaga, i think his name is Timme. Stayed there for like 5 years and probably made more money on NIL for being a school legend than being a 2nd round pick.
