@WickedGames since you're using the angle that it's only the final product that matters. Wanna cone in here and explain the reasoning behind this after the meek mill shyt happened.

No one can question my involvement in drakes career. We have come a long way together. So let me start by putting something into perspective

12:49 PM - 23 Jul 2015

I can't count the hours that myself and drake have spent writing producing and recording music. Let's just say... 5000 hours...

12:50 PM - 23 Jul

Noah Shebib

✔‎@OVO40

I've spent maybe 30 min in a studio with Q. Nice enough guy, very talented...

12:53 PM - 23 Jul 2015

If your asking if he contributed to if you're reading this... Yes, he did. You can also see that by reading the credits.

Anyways, I don't work with many people. And there's a reason....

1:00 PM - 23 Jul 2015

Noah Shebib

✔‎@OVO40

No one is as talented as drake. It's not worth my time. I need someone who understands song writing on a higher level...

1:01 PM - 23 Jul 2015

Noah Shebib

✔‎@OVO40

Sometimes that skill is used to recognize other great songs... Like in all forms of music... Except rap.

1:08 PM - 23 Jul 2015

Noah Shebib

✔‎@OVO40

Rap has a stigma about writing your own lyrics and rightfully so... its a very personal art form and its rooted in speaking truthfully.

1:09 PM - 23 Jul 2015

Noah Shebib

✔‎@OVO40

Thankfully for me drake isn't just a rapper. He's also a musician and a producer and a creator.

1:10 PM - 23 Jul 2015

Noah Shebib

✔‎@OVO40

We go beyond the normal boundaries that rappers want to sleep themselves stuck in.

1:10 PM - 23 Jul 2015

Noah Shebib

✔‎@OVO40

We've been fighting those rules from day one. If no one noticed there weren't many singing rappers in '08

1:11 PM - 23 Jul 2015

Noah Shebib

✔‎@OVO40

Theres countless number ones and songs drake has written for others never mind himself, thats the funny part lol!

1:16 PM - 23 Jul 2015

Noah Shebib

✔‎@OVO40

To be even feeling my own need to say these things is crazy

1:17 PM - 23 Jul 2015

Noah Shebib

✔‎@OVO40

and even more ironic is that drake is maybe the most personal rapper ever

1:19 PM - 23 Jul 2015

Noah Shebib

✔‎@OVO40

never has someone spoken about themselves or there own perspective so vividly... ever.

1:19 PM - 23 Jul 2015

Noah Shebib

✔‎@OVO40

its why people have called him soft... because he shows humility and is truthful and honest.

1:20 PM - 23 Jul 2015

Noah Shebib

✔‎@OVO40

you're smokin that shyt you say you selling if you think someone wrote that shyt.

1:21 PM - 23 Jul 2015

Noah Shebib

✔‎@OVO40

so if someone wants to be upset that drake made a great album, go for it, get mad all day lol! but don't ever question my brothers pen.

1:21 PM - 23 Jul 2015

Reading these again knowing what we know now... :scust:

This is blatant lies and fukking disgusting. Also, this fool talking about *fighting boundaries* like rappers turnt sangas wasn't a whole lane... He was really trying to insinuate there were *not many* singing rappers before 2008 or that Drake somehow came up with this lane? :comeon::stopitslime:

As a nikka who's grown up in the culture...got fam in the culture...it's a damn shame at the blatant disregards of what made this artform truly great. but its been a long time coming in hindsight. this shyt here is just blatant. but like many stans and haters have said...the general public doesn care. and that's the crime...cuz there was a time when they did. but it is what it is. Just gotta be thankful I grew up on the rappers i grew up on and not this generation.

:mindblown:
this dude pulled off the biggest finesse in hip hop history
Only if you're a sucka. Let's take a look at the 'Drake' resume.
Child Actor so accumulated guap as a teen, plus comes from money. Also, despite growing up surrounded by cameras, there's no footage of him rhyming freestyling etc. :jbhmm:
Comes into the 'game' with big co-signs and features :jbhmm:
Instantly blows up with pop friendly sucka simp shyt :jbhmm:
First time on Flex he can't stay on beat to Nas Is Like spitting lyrics from a cell phone :jbhmm:
Continues to make safe friendly pop tween records that get heavy play, including a kanye throw away :jbhmm:
So right here there's some suspect shyt, wouldn't one say? But let's continue
Fast forward a few years, Drake is somehow a figure in the 'hip-hop' community we find out that
From one of his most popular albums, a good portion of the songs were pre-written crafted most likely recorded :jbhmm:
Allegations of ghost writing continue. Still no studio footage of 'drake', no stories about how he goes in etc. etc. :jbhmm:
Literal reference track emerge. With cadences flows lyrics etc for 'Drake' to copy and spit as if they were his own :heh:
Not only do reference tracks emerge, frustrated ovo label signees reveal they live in tents while creating 'Drakes' 'content' :heh:
Does a collabo album with another popular artist. Recording takes place in studios on two different floors where Future doesn't ever see Drake record or vice versa. :heh::heh::heh:

So finnesse? Not really. More of a case of a safe breh being made into a super 'mack/ladies man/street character' to attract lame ass dudes to buy the music. But hey y'all wanted him in hip hop so here he is. Anyone could have seen this shyt is fraudulent from the start. Imagine if Justin Timberlake went from the mickey mouse club to spittin 16's over Dilla beats, and was seen as legit :heh::heh: But since Drake's got a black dad it worked!!!! Hilarious and sad at the same time.

drake stans are mostly white and others. which mean they want the rules to change so their people will have an easier time becoming rappers. if there are no rules to this, anyone that works on a flow can become a top tier rapper.
No they're not :heh: most 'Drake' fan are bytches. Brehs black/white will listen to what hoes listen to. Hence the massive bending of hip hop rules, by sucka ass dudes.

......

ur right bro. Plus, those who are saying "he won" are only looking at the here and now.

Vanilla Ice "won" too (5x plat)...now he is a punchline
Mini Vanilla "won" too (5x plat).....now he is a punchline

when the dust settles @mr. smoke weed laid out exactly what we will be talking about in 10 years.

Drake brought 0 classics to the game.

Think of how Nas get his shots here and there but illmatic is still discussed HEAVILY.
