Even though I like to joke about dude, aint gonna lie the more that gets revealed, the more I kinda respect his business in terms of the music game.

Him constantly reinvesting profits into his product and marketing (ovo label, producers, ghostwriters, tents, sleeping bags etc.) the brand crossovers with Apple, Jordan, Toronto raptors etc. That's some big moves. The way they treated rap like it was just any other business was an eye opener for me personally. Means a lot of rappers really ain't on game

I will never respect him as a musician but respect don't pay nobody's bills at the end of the day

:russell:

Drake lived in his mother's basement, in a house that his uncle owned.

You don't have to live in the hood to be struggling financially. :stopitslime:

And Drake has spoken a lot about putting up a front even though his accounts were in the minus.

Try again...:aicmon:

F- for non-effort.
While working as a child star on a tv show....come on!

Had to. I mean after a mixtape, you have songs with Mary J, Jay, Kanye, Jamie Foxx, Dj KHALED, Eminem, all before you drop an album?

He was in 2009-2010, where rappers grind and slave to get. Stadium performer after just a year. Even someone like Kanye who had #1 singles after number one singles, wasn't stadium status until sometime after 808s.

Even Jay wasn't stadium status until like 8 years.

Whole shyt just looks orchestrated in hindsight.

shyt, J. Cole JUST hit Stadium status just last year, and he's been mainstream since 2010-2011.
