No, the track was actually already done. They originally contacted me for a sample, [but] when they were speaking to me, I was going to ask [if I could be a feature]. But I feel very blessed, because I didn't need to ask. It was very much on the cards at the beginning of the conversation. They were like, "How would Kyla feel to be a feature?" They explained that Drake had a third verse but he really liked my part in it and he didn't really wanna take it out. It was more than a sample. So I grabbed it with both hands and was like, "Yes, please!" [laughs]
I would also say, [Drake]'s very happy to [support] up-and-coming artists, and help people out. [Drake’s team] said to me, "Drake would be really happy to help you boost your career. This would be a really good move."
