It wasn't every track it was only a handful, 6 PM was written by Drake. :stopitslime:
At this point, how does anyone really know though? When your credibility as a song writer has been damaged, I just don't know how you prove you write your material and explain why you sometimes need other peoples songs. Especially in rap

I used to love Drake. Now I just don't know who wrote what if I listen to his songs and I've lost interest in his music

Writing credits said he did. And outside of RICO and Blessings (which were features so understandable), it appears Drake always gives writing credits to those who contributed. So yeah, nikka, that's a receipt.

so your logic is that the writing credits are only to be believed when it's not a feature?

You can tell when OVOHush is writing. He does all of Drakes punchline heavy, wannabe backpack-rapper flows. See Headlines, 9PM in wherever, Lord Knows, etc. Basically anything with Anthony Palman in th writers credits (he's in a LOT)

The post below was 7 years before we ever heard a reference track.

Regardless of where fans may fall on how using a ghostwriter affects your credibility, it looks like Drake has taken a page out of Kanye West’s book and expanded his creative process to include various hands in the mix and it seems to be working wonders for his career, given the fact that’s he’s hip-hop’s brightest shining star at this moment in time. Oh yeah, and according to Mike, The 6ix that Drake is frequently running through was actually a term allegedly created by a Canadian named by the name of Jimmy Johnson. “Jimmy Johnson aka Jimmy Prime, he came up with the phrase “The 6ix”. It was to be the name of his album…Drake took it without telling him. His crew is called Prime and they are affiliated with OVO.” When asked if Jimmy Prime would confirm this claim, Mike admits he doubts he would given his status in the OVO circle would be at stake, but says that Drake’s appropriation of the term is no secret to those close to the situation.

Nah, he said "Me and OBIE go back Shaq and penny days"

Which is a pretty personal line.

Drakes music don't have much depth anyway though .

He means personal records like the whole song is about drakes life. Rico was a just shyt talking song with one personal reference that anybody could of wrote. There's some Aubrey songs where you can make a argument it sounded like he put pen to paper

That said, don't believe he ever completely wrote all of his songs and used helped for different flows and sounds

Sorry, breh, I'm seeing a lot of lies that are easy to discredit in that first screen cap, especially about the amount of money made during Degrassi and how he hooked up with Wayne.

Again, it seems like Drake always gave writing credits to people, even during his mixtape days - and that's how any of ya'll even knew about Hush. So why would he use a ghostwriter? Makes no sense. Why would he give writing credit to some and not to others?

Hard to believe but I'm not one of those stans who think he can do no wrong and ignore damning evidence but with that said, many of the boy's detractors are pretty lazy and sloppy.

Drake Stans and Haters are neck and neck. Haters may have actually surpassed the Stans with annoying posting on the Coli:wow:

It's a tough call but I think the haters got the throne for now :wow:

Who's more emotionally invested ? :patrice:

Producers get writing credits

People get writing credits for all kinda shyt completely unrelated to sitting down and stenciling out a song for another nikka. Doug E Fresh got writers credits for Rap God because Em said "6 minutes"

1. If they are lies, discredit them then :yeshrug:

It's one thing to say they aren't facts because they can't be proven, it's another to jump to the conclusion that they are lies, kinda sounds like a defensive maneuver.

:francis:

But that's how it is with you nikkas, one minute it's all lies. Once it's confirmed, now it doesn't matter. Next minute it's only hooks and "wave/swag". Then we jump to "bu bu but he wrote the personal ones though, the ones that really count."

:mjlol:

2. Also the idea that "Ghostwriting" = uncredited is semantics. If it came out that somebody made a reference track for Rakim on "Follow the leader" nobody would give him a pass on some "but did you read the album credits?:usure:" technicality bullshyt.

3. You credit some and not others for various reasons. Hush is is go to guy, and I'm sure they are close, he want's him to eat, he's not expendable like the rest of his tent slaves.

Are you for real? :wtf: You can't be serious.

1) Drake was making 40K on Degrassi at best and most of that money went to paying the bills since his mom was a retired teacher. No child actor in fukking Canada on a public access show is making 90K on a fukking tv show, my nikka.

2) Drake hooked up with Wayne through J. Prince who met Drake through Myspace.

I seriously don't have time for this bullshyt. :aicmon:

I don't mind arguments but when you're peddling out reckless bullshyt while thinking you're actually making a sound argument that's when I check out.
