Thats actually nuts, it says #1 right
:picard:
A Drake SZA song is gonna go #1 no matter what. Their algorithmic power is extremely strong.
I don’t follow either of them or listen to any of their music and it was feeding me that song every time I finished listening to an album. Maybe they equated all the Three 6 Mafia I listen to with Drakes dad being from Memphis and figured I would be interested.
The reception to the song at least anecdotally has been weak considering the popularity of the artists.

Song is whatever…haven’t heard it but once….but it’s also worth mentioning Charlemagne been hating on Drake pretty consistently for his entire career…shyt is like Skip Bayless attacking Lebron for 20 years, Bron randomly responds once on social media…and everyone claims he’s being sensitive…

But like Char said, Drake is washed and this is now Lil Baby’s era :mjlol: …so what’s it all matter
:laff: :laff: :laff:

Y'all say anything on here

:mjlol:

He'll never do an interview again that isn't completely controlled and designed for whatever album or tour rollout he's doing. Same with Beyonce, Weeknd, Taylor Swift, Kendrick, and virtually all the other big acts.

Which of course is a shame because art is important, as is listening to artists discuss their process among other things. Michael Jackson gave countless interviews when he was a superstar, which still offer insight into life and music. Same can be said of David Bowie, Madonna, and others. I don't think artists should be expected to explain their art ("what did you mean by..."), of course. That would be ridiculous. But listening to them discuss their music and the process is a societal benefit IMO.

Personally I think responding to CTG is a waste of time given the irrelevance of The Breakfast Club and how little thought CTG puts into most things he says. I also think it's wild that the biggest, most dominant rapper of of our generation essentially has no relationship with hip hop "media." They've essentially clowned his music since 2016 (Views). And that kind of coincides with the last time he was accessible to the media. Only other comparison I can make would be Eminem, who had very little connection to rap media after Encore came out.
Em still did interviews with hip-hop media after “Encore.” He still graced the covers of XXL and Vibe and still did interviews with them.

The only person in hip-hop media he talks to his Sway. Also the fact he has his own radio station with Shade 45 he can talk to who he wants. But he always keeps it culture.

yeah, wrote in other thread, heard this out of a car on Thursday late night downtown, doesn't mean a LOT, but good sign it's catching on with "average people", which is usually an indicator of at least a minor hit.

I play it. Good fall music, really like SZA.

Interviewing Michael Jackson was something special, as much popular Drake is he won’t be on MJ’s level of praise or popularity. But you can tell which artists get controlled interviews.

charlamagne really wants to be the first to say drake's run is over. the problem is every time he jumps out the window (this is at least the 3rd time i recall), drake proves him wrong.

at some point you'd think y'all would wait for drake to fail before calling him a failure.

that said... aubrey proves once again he is the cattiest megastar in hip hop history. :russ:
