I don't get the notion he's being himself. It's clear he picks and chooses.

He knows what sells records and who's buying them, so most of the time he has to go down his normal route, like this interview. But he can't help himself other times, and does the wrong thing and acts hard...that's not even anything close to who he is. On songs, interviews or general things, he's proven that he's trying to something else. The guy is so not comfortable in his own skin that everytime I watch him, I feel awkward for him.

Saw this interview last night. It increased my respect for him. He is an honest dude. A lot of people co-signing nigg3rdum, rachetness, and the deathstyle (lifestyle) of rap. He is a change of pace and I think that the game needed someone like him, just like the game needed Kanye. As black people, we need stop co-signing the crap that is destroying our generation. Its crazy that our music must have artists that have to watch their back everywhere they go and can't talk about relationships with women, which was the majority of music that came from black male artists at the peak of our music in this country. I like his perspective on Marvin Gaye and how it relates to his music. Dude is a historian of the game and he is trying to create his own lane and not trying to be like anybody else unlike a lot of other artists.

Drake IS lame but people on here do go overboard. Gotta bring it up in every thread about him. He has talent. I just listen to his stuff to see if hell ever grow but he still talks about that high school/college ghetto love bullshyt. It may be his life or it may not be but it seems fake. Everything is a forced (hit). Like that song no new friends. That shyt was lame as fukk. PAC had plenty of songs on that same subject that obviously just came from the heart and not some lame club anthem.
