I don't think people understand you don't have to be soft to make love songs, just Drake makes soft music so it's not that we don't like him cause he caters to women because when Kane did it he still did it as an MC. My advice to young brothers and sisters would be not to limit what you listen to because of when it came out or region or any of that, just listen to whatever and be open minded, no-one says you have to feel it, but you might find you do. I know plenty young people that love artists like KRS-One, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane, K-Rino, Slick Rick, whoever, some of them have them as their favorite artist. I have KRS-One as my 2nd, K-Rino, Rakim, Big Daddy Kane and Slick Rick all in my top 15 and I was either not born or just a kid when they first came out. Music is meant to be timeless, the best music is, that's the value of it. How am I gonna look not playing Smokey Robinson or Marvin Gaye cause I wasn't born then or there "not relevant" now lmao. The real is ALWAYS relevant.
