In short, Drake’s team has nothing to prove botting and withdrew that claim to avoid sanctions from the Court. Eliminating that narrows the scope of discovery significantly. There’s now no claim that UMG artificially promoted Kendrick’s song illegally. The question just becomes whether or not Not Like Us constitutes defamation and I genuinely don’t think he can win on that. I’d lean towards the motion to dismiss being granted.

• Alleged undisclosed payments to promoters & influencers to drive exposure.
