Them nikkas don’t like each other. On some cold war shyt. Kendrick has straight up said he’s better than Drake and clowned his use of Ghostwriting and I think that more than anything gets under Drake’s skin because he CAN’T 100% go to war with an artist like Kendrick because Kendrick will hold that over him and unlike Meek Kendrick would NOT fumble
Drake has issues with Kendrick for the same reasons Big Sean, Jay Elect, and a few others had issues with Kendrick. Drake just never fixed it.

Kendrick and J Cole are the only rappers who can challenge Drake as far as sales goes

It's funny because they actually don't challenge Drake in commercial sales, which makes Drake stan's insecurity even more hilarious. What Cole and Kenny DO have is their full credibility as MC's and a lot critical acclaim.

Nobody outside the internet gives a fukk about Metacritic. Now you in the other thread talking about Kendrick fans failed him with the sales lol.

Who are these mythical “outside the internet” people Drake stans spend so much time with. Your crew of people who don’t have phones or social media and are just constantly “outside”? Never in the history of music has critical acclaim not been extremely important and sought after by every artist.

Go to a club, bar, event anywhere outside. Ain’t nobody talking about “this only got a 50 on Metacritic” when a song comes on lol. Only on the internet do people care about some Metacritic. Never heard it brought up outside the internet.

I hate these threads that have no explanation on why you feel that way. Give some reasons.

I know the comparison is ad nausem, but I always thought they had Jay/Nas relationship in the fact they don't particularly like each other but it's mutual respect.

When I first heard N95 I got nervous as fukk but the album ended up good. Scorpion's first disc is really good but given the mess the second disc is and how repetitive it is...nope.

I think Cole would do a better double album that Scorpion too.
Cole can’t pick good enough production to do a double disc

The off-season 12 songs where he’s just flexing his rapping ability on each track is prefect for Cole

I still don't agree with this. I think Drake could win and has record in terms of diss records is pretty good. I like all of them. And there are a ton of people on social media who will side with him no matter what. Just like there are a ton who will side with Kendrick, so I don't think we'd be looking at some decisive victory. We saw Drake lose a battle pretty lop sided and in the end...it didn't really matter.

I feel like the only definitive thing that I'd say is that....Kendrick won't fukk up like Meek. He'd pick the right beat and actually hit hard. And I can imagine Drake doing the same, plus bringing Kdot's wife into the mix because that's what he does. Did it with Nicki during the Meek shyt and did it to Pusha's fiance. Personally I don't want to see it happen and would rather see them do another song together.

Breh I think its pretty evident that Drake don’t want it with Kendrick. And this isn’t based on any standom but just the evidence at hand.

I’m giving Drake credit for going at anyone credible whose called him out. He went at Common, a hip hop legend. He went at Meek even when Meek had the reference tracks and exposed them. He went at Push and even though Push tore his head off, Duppy Freestyle wasn’t a bad diss.

But he’s never really gone at Kendrick, even when Kendrick called him out LIVE on stage at the BET Awards. All Drake has done is send some subs until it died down.
You telling me Drake is willing to go at Common, Meek, and Push but NOT Kendrick? Kendrick is the most successful rapper of his generation besides Drake. He’s the highest selling besides Drake. He’s the most acclaimed, and most importantly, his Pen is verified. When Kendrick says “I’m The Best Rapper Alive” he has the respect of his peers and fans who KNOW he’s the one putting in that work. If Kendrick and Drake were to battle, whatever Kendrick says would actually MEAN something, just like Pusha’s bars MEANT something, but on an even bigger scale as Kendrick commands more respect. I don’t think Drake wants that level of opponent

You ain't wrong. I agree he hasn't gone at Kendrick in part because he knows it's not a good idea. I don't think he felt he could lose to Meek, and I certainly don't think he thought Pusha would do what he did lmao. I'm just saying in my opinion I don't believe Drake would be ass out and utterly lose on some Ether/Jay shyt because of the way social media works, and Kendrick not really being a battle or punchline rapper. Not to say Kendrick wouldn't get in that ass but I think the way it would be set up, only a massive miscalculation would result on either side truly losing. And since they're both smart with great camps that ain't happening.

To this day I'm baffled nobody in Meek's team gameplanned the situation for him. That first diss, with the Undertaker music, was so bad. Didn't care about Meek not responding quickly. Nas fans know the timing doesn't matter, it's whether you hit your target or not. Takeover was rocking for awhile before Nas responded. Nobody today cares about the wait.

Its their go to excuse when they have no argument.
