I talked to Jason Salvador from Lupe’s team back in late 07 when I was trying to put some local peeps on and he told me Drake had next. And he had a co-sign from Dream Hampton or one of those other industry insider types. I might be mixing Dream up with another woman…
This was before So Far Gone... Maybe it was off the hype of Comeback Season which was well received but certainly not a pivotal tape at the time.
