That '05 Piston team was my favorite from there run, just the up and down fukkery, the palace brawl, championship hangover, championship belts, everyone doubting them, retiring Reggie Miller, upsetting Miami, and taking SAS to the final 2 minutes of game 7. shyt was crazy

You get it breh

You really do :wow:

The Horry shot is always remembered but the most underrated moment was the game 6 comeback win on the road to force 7. I remember that fukkboy Bill Simmons and a few other analysts stayed hating on detroit all year and it was only after that game that Simmons ate that humble pie and conceded that everytime he hated on this team's legitimacy, they've made him eat his words. Game 6 also had the sound byte where Larry Brown told his guys in the huddle, late game, that he loved them :to:. That was the game where they finally silenced the critics and it's a shame they ran outta gas in gm7, otherwise their run would've been one of the craziest/most memorable back-to-back title runs. A 30 for 30 type shyt with every thing that happened within those 2 years.

I never felt worse for a player (non-injury related) than seeing Mcydess bustin his ass puttin up 20 and 10+ on a cancerous '09 Pistons team as the Cavs swept them in consecutive blowouts. I forget the specifics but he took less money to come back outta loyalty or some belief that the AI experiment would work, and they could still come out the east.

'Sheed and Ben were my favorite Pistons but by the end of their run, I had the most respect for Mycdess without question. It always bothered me that he never got to win one with them. Whether it be the Horry shot, DWade, him getting ejected for that bullshyt flagrant foul vs the Cavs (and the ensuing Lebron stuff), or just the '08 Celtics.. you could tell dude was straight devastated each time, and that he simply truly just wanted to win, esp after all his knee issues.

Ben may get consideration for the Hall of Fame one day. He was an elite rebounder for a long period of time with 4 DPOY awards to his name. Players with lesser resumes have gotten in the Hall.
Hes a hall of fame candidate snd him getting in is good for the league.

If yao is first ballot with less resume snd s higher ceiling/being a number 1 pick without s ring ben should get in one day
