All these acts are only magnified simply because they don't believe he's a star, and that he's riding the coattails of Curry and Klay. If there wasn't a, b and c, dudes would find other things from d-z to complain about.

I'm not mad at what he does or "gets away with" simply because that's all dudes focus on when it concerns his game. If he was a bum ass role player and that's all he did than fair enough - I could get with it. But not when dudes gloss over him being one of the greatest defenders that's ever played the game, a diet version of Magic on offense and arguably the second most important player on a 73-win team who're on the verge of winning back-to-back titles.. Nah. That would just mean hating for the sake of. And that shyt is corny to me.

But they don't though. I've seen all the posts over the last two seasons. A lot of them are from dudes not fukking with him to begin with (his demeanor or how he looks - I suspect there's some mjpls thrown in there) and not recognizing how good of a player he actually is. There's threads with dudes dappin in the hundreds of him being less of a player than he actually is. Don't tell me "a lot of people" recognize how great he is, because they don't.

I've said in the past that I don't fukk with some of the dirty shyt he does, but I don't let that affect my judgement of his game nor will I get into bed with that group to push that nonsense when I don't agree with their position. I know most of those comments are based on hatred because they always come with a side note intact or are branches of what they've said about him prior. If I didn't talk about how "amazing" he is, there'd probably be no discussion on how good he really is, because 90+% of the talk around him is based on non-basketball acts.

We still have a good majority of this board who don't believe he's a better player than Rodman - that tells me right there that their hatred of him (with a dose of nostalgia) won't allow them to see his game for what it is.

The equivalent would be me not agreeing with some of the policies of LGBT groups, yet understanding and acknowledging the bigger picture of what they're doing - that doesn't mean I should start picketing with homophobes and pushing Disciples of Christ rhetoric.
