Cause KD doesn't have the haters Lebron has. This is far worse than what Lebron did. It made sense for Lebron
He played in CLE
Gave everything he had with poor GM work
Never had a solid #2 ever.
Carried that team year after year
Went to a team that was struggling
Durant played in OKC (cancels out)
Had an amazing front office
Had solid 2nd a third options
Playing with another top 5 player
Went to the team that beat you after you blew a 3-1 lead
And threw your former teammate under the bus
Lebron did that they'd never let him live it down.
I don't care that he left OKC, but for GS?
I mean cmon .
It makes sense for both actually. Durant got tired of the your turn my turn nature of the Thunder (which every fukking fan criticized until now where it's convenient to forget) and wanted to be a part of a cohesive unit that moved the ball and had great chemistry on/off the floor. for that, it doesn't any better than the Warriors. If he didn't choose them it would probably be the Spurs. If you could put the '02 Kings in a time machine then maybe them.
All of those things you label as advantages for him over LeBron don't matter when he didn't value them the same way and they didn't result in anything. Could LeBron have won a title with that support? Yeah, but Durant isn't LeBron and does need a certain supporting cast to win it all. He has that now.
He never threw his teammates under the bus that is all the media who a lot of you guys are falling prey too
If LeBron did that, his titles would speak for themselves. The people who bring up the low moments of his career look dumb now in hindsight because he's proven his decision was correct
If the Warriors are the worst team he could've joined in anybody's mind you got issues. That is the BEST decision he could have made if leaving OKC. It's insane to think otherwise
