it's a shame things ain't work out so that daz could've really continued to shine as a producer well into the 2000s. he one of the few who i think can still put together some good beats/productions yet he's just become more of a hustler with his music and lazy :snoop:

but when you listen to songs like this that still up so well you can't help but think what if daz would've been apart of the the production for the chronic 2001. that album would've been 10 times the album is and this ain't to say it's a bad album but it ain't shyt compared to the original chronic :whew:

then think about those doggystyle beats/production he worked on along with dogg pound's dog food, pac's all eyez on me and then his own 1st 2 solo albums which are underrated as hell :wow:

the minute you hear the bass come in on this muthafukka though:lawd:

not true .. mentioned this in the other thread , daz had a lot of own production added to in the row days .. specifically certain joints respect - lets play house off dogg food

dre touched those 2 up and a couple others ..

quick basically added to every single joint off all eyes on me ' Daz did also

quiks spoken on that in the past also

and i firmly believe that daz did the majority of snoop's doggystyle album too :yeshrug:

not tryin 2 make daz out to be some scrub on the boards coz he sure ain't , but he knows where his talent starts and stops

you made this post saying dre's production aint been the same /.. How about daze's ?

when was the last time he dropped anything of significance

I was a Daz stan growing up but he is a massive let down nowadays. Haven't heard anything from Tha Dogg Pound in about 2-3 years apart from Skip, Skip with Kokane so hopefully they're cooking up a grand finale to go out with a bang. They were supposed to have an album executively produced by Dr. Dre and Snoop but :yeshrug:.

If any rap group deserves more than where they are right now, it's Tha Dogg Pound

nikkas still actin like Daz is anywhere near CLOSE to Dre? :snoop:

naw, i ain't sayin' that but what i am sayin' is that daz was a huge reason why dre's shyt durin' that chronic/doggystyle era was what it was

he and warren g (he taught daz how to program the drums) showed daz how to work in the studio but daz had the talent and flourished once he learned what was once

but guys like daz bought a new energy along with the influence and innovative sound that big hutch already had poppin' with g funk

i use to be one of those nikkas who believed "dre is the quincy jones of hip hop" but the thing is this, guys like daz were doin' a lot more than they really got credited for

andre done had a number of producers help his groove in music not miss a beat; well with the exception of dr. dre presents aftermath and that compton album :scusthov:

oh ok in regards to what fredwreck said

good post and yeah all i know all about how dre and quik polished up a lot of those songs back in the deathrow days

daz's production has fallen off in a sense but i don't think it's due to a lack of talent, i think it's due to the fact he doesn't care enough about the music like he once did in the 90's and he just puts music out left and right without really takin' time out to really make some good shyt. he just got lazy with his shyt

but when he wants to be great, he is. like with this curren$y beat he produced shyt he did a while ago

Forget the rapping...Compton's production is so pedestrian compared to Dre's other shyt. It's not even the best produced album of the year, or top 5...
