i thought quik just mixed that record along with many other songs on that album
i don't doubt that quik added a bit more than that, but the foundation of that beat and the majority of it all sounds like all daz to me

Dr Dre used to act like his brother Warren G didn't exist until Warren blew up on his own.
Dre had help from Daz in the studio in the early 90's, Daz in turn had help from Soopafly and Mike Dean in the late 90's. All of these producers were at their best when collaborating with other dope producers.
The proof is in the pudding though in the fact that Dre produced classics in the 80's, 90's, 2000's and 2010's no matter who was or was not working with him. You can't tell me he's a fraud when he's been influential across 4 different decades and when co-producers themselves have stated how much Dre adds to a track even when he does a simple mix. shyt look at the recent Dre / Premier tracks, when was the last time Premier had bangers like that? Dre's at his best when working with other producers, he knows this and has had this type of studio environment since Death Row.

Dre's still on top, but DJ Yella, Daz, Sam Sneed, Scott Storch, Mel Man etc. typically all fell off soon after they stopped fukking with Dre.

Dre telling Warren to do his own thing was the best thing that could have happened to him, not to mention the best thing that could have happened to Def Jam. Def Jam without Warren G would have gone broke, and I don't believe Warren wouldn't have cemented his own solo legacy as strongly on Death Row.
It would have been great to get more collabs between Dre / Warren though no doubt.
