I think Jay has surrounded himself with too many yes men at this point, Pharrell, Timbo, Guru, Kanye all these dudes say that everything Jay drops is a classic. I'll say that when you're in the studio with someone you always feel like the shyt is a lot better than it is.

I've swore a blood oath to never listen to anything the media says about either Jay-Z or Kanye's music without hearing it first...the entirety of hip hop "journalism" for whatever reason have full on man-crushes for them...seriously when's the last time you've read or heard a blogger/journalist type not speak about anything either of them have done in non orgasmic or spiritually transcendent terms...I came away from reading about the WTT listening session thinking that the album was some kind of life altering religious experience
