Probably because he can't do anything other than what he has been doing.

I don't even think he should be given the benefit of the doubt like :ld: "well, he probably could if he wanted to"....no. What have we seen out of his career that is any indication of that? He said he wanted to rhyme like Common Sense 10 years ago....what's stopping him at this point?

Fred.

MAYBE he'd rather make Blueprints and TBA's than rhyme like Common Sense? :leon:

What's stopping hm from making Blueprints today? Who knows, he's 44 years, not really worried about pleasing people that won't be pleased unless he does some shyt that won't please the millions of people who actually go to his show or buy his cds.And WTT got plenty love from all corners even hailed a classic by many despite the criticism of them being too rich coincidentally it's also his latest project. And someone needs to clear up this trend bullshyt. BP3 sounded like no other album ever in rap, even though it was meh. AG didn't follow a trend, it took it back. KC didn't follow a trend, like BP3 didn't sound like anything out. TBA/BP1&2 , the roc-a-fella sound he, other roc-a-fella artists and their in-house producers invented.

Is the trend thing that he wears a snapback today? Or that he collaborates with relevant rappers instead of irrelevant rappers?

I don't take her opinion worth a shyt....but I do know Jay is do for a great or classic album:mjpls:....he tends to do it like clockwork.

jayz last great album was 2001. Black album has great moments, but it aint cohesive enough to be great. 12 years, thats a long time to be waiting for a classic.

it's gonna be a revolutionary Hov album.

It's gonna be grown up and mature, where he talks about being married and being a father and the worries of karma catching up to him because he has a daughter.

You know. he's gonna make his own version of "Life is Good".

all that will be hidden under a bunch of insecure bragging about money and status and how he know obama and how his daughter is best frineds with the first daughters/ rappers have been talking about the experience of parenthood forever, watch jay get special credit for isht regular people go through.

Does anyone believe guru when he says him and jay fight about records?

That would make him the only KNOWN non-yes man on the team. He has come out many of times saying how he tells jay to make more hood shyt or shyt he likes. And jay tells him he gotta sell records

But he says they go back and forth. A LOT. Now either he's lying, or jay only allows this from him, or he ain't really that uptight

TBA is a good album. AG is a good album. Classic doe? :usure: U givin it stan points.

And Jay has been anything but consistent. KC was horrible. AG was good. Then BP3 was wack. Thats the opposite of consistent fam.

I aint even on that Jay/Nas stan wave. Nas has been even worse since Ether IMO.

 :damn: :lolbron:

Why do u listen to his albums?

There were people who said Eminem Encore would be dope before we heard it, remember that. Always remember Encore people.

The trend thing comes from not being known for starting any. Now it's unfair in that 99% of rappers didn't start no damn trend. Name a rapper and what trend he STARTED and we gonna have a real short list. And I doubt any of them are really relevant today

I think with jay it's that he has too much music. An album every year for 6-7 years at first. I mean how much new shyt can you talk about year to year. Every year. Once you rich at year 3. And it's now year 15. And your main point of your music is, look at my moves as I get richer. People get bored. Subject wise

The singles might sell. Might be hot bars and hot beats. But what you actually talking bout translates into "I'm rich as fukk and making moves"

Imagine in 10 more years and 6 more albums and jeezy still talking bout bmf and the trap. nikkas gonna be like damn. Can't you give us something else. Even if we get a song here and there different. The general theme stays the same

Where as. And I'm not an anybody Stan. But a nas started off broke.. Then did the rich thing... Then came back on some lets save hip hop. Then lets talk about being black. Then lets talk about adult life. While its always nas and he'll throw in the drugs and money talk. The general subject matter changes album to album

That trends shyt tho. nikkas just talking. If you ain't rakim or Nwa or PE or somebody. You wasn't starting shyt. You just built off what they did

Dream Hampton and Elliot Wilson must post on the coli, I still have faith in Jay, but that pen is getting closer when it comes to having to file that paperwork, a lot of the music he has done within the past few years has had some bright moments, then some songs that'll leave you :snoop:

Yeah
Doubt it, he already tried to be grown up and mature on Kingdom Come :russ:. and even if he does try it again, it'll be rhymes about his daughters pacifier costing more than your car

The-Dream said its a hard album, some street shyt, guru said its a concept album

It's gonna be him acting like Frank Sinatra or some bullshyt :laff:
