Very true, it is appalling. The fact that the city of Chicago is scapegoated is equally appalling to me. Other cities have gang and drug problems, but Chicago catches the most flack. The obvious reason for this agenda is that the first black president began his political career here. There are a lot of other black politians here with the same ambitions who are inspired by what Obama has done. The agenda is real. The mentality as a whole needs to change and not just in Chicago, see you say "those races" acquired wealth and moved on, but how many black people acquired wealth and felt like they had to stay to keep it "Real" I know several black friends still deep in the hood that have more then enough money to get out, they are choosing not to. Again we need to change the mentality as a whole, no its NOT cool to live in the hood, YES it is cool to want to move out of the hood if you can. I know people with $80k cars living in $450month apartments. Priorities....
@ChicaGORILLA_Jay i respect your answer and I am partially the same way, you cant move out ALL of the positive/good people because then it just leaves a melting pot of negativity. The problem is there is a lot of old heads with the gang mentality teaching the youth that same way of life. Thats what I meant by its not "cool" to move out of the hood. More kids need to be raised with the aspirations of moving out of the hood, once that mentality spreads, the hood itself slowly becomes a better atmosphere.
