Damn, one of the biggest benefits of skilled blue collar work was job security :damn:

It seemed like job security was the biggest plus blue collar jobs had over white collar/office jobs. Yeah, in those transport related blue collar jobs the hours suck and you might be working holidays and weekends and poor working conditions compared to a climate controlled office but at least you didn't have that dark cloud of layoffs in the back of your mind :whew:

As much as it would suck for truckers to lose their jobs, this is one area where the world would benefit from automation.
Supply chains moving 24/7 365. Supply always matching demand no matter where you are. Prices would eventually drop.
Yall will find something else to do.

These AI car demos are just like video game demos

Scripted exercises for marketing

These trucks are uninsurable at this point

Only serious deregulation to allow them to run over poor people without fault would get them on the road

This. They are trying to get more funding. Autonomous vehicles are still a long way from being viable

Guess yall didn't watch the whole vid. They already launched in April of this year.

As far as regulation, good thing they got the perfect president to fast track that. The company only put drivers back behind the wheel because shyt gets dangerous off the highway (Can't just go in a straight line anymore.).

I expect way more of these in about two-three years, easy. Trump does what he does, would be sooner.

Again, Aurora already launched for Texas in April 2025
