These AI car demos are just like video game demos
Scripted exercises for marketing
These trucks are uninsurable at this point
Only serious deregulation to allow them to run over poor people without fault would get them on the road
They still need diesel.the truck stop/rest stop industry is gonna get wiped out.![]()
As much as it would suck for truckers to lose their jobs, this is one area where the world would benefit from automation.
Supply chains moving 24/7 365. Supply always matching demand no matter where you are. Prices would eventually drop.
Yall will find something else to do.
They still need diesel.
when supply is greater than demand, value decreases. thats economics 101.CEOs after being asked to not hoard the additional profits:

Honestly, the best route to go for transportation would be to build “hubs” on the outside of all major cities. That way the drone trucks drive OTR and drop off outside the major city. The trucker would complete the “last mile”.I would t trust these things to do anything but go down a long highway in a relatively straight line.

If every business has a full supply of whatever product you want because the logistical nature of the process has changed from a 40 hour work week to a 168 hour work week. Prices will indeed drop across the board.
They won't be able to increase prices and hoard the profit if you can just get from somebody else cheaper.
The capability for the supply to triple( or more) in productivity will absolutely make things cheaper for consumers
What does self checkout have to do with supply? That had no affect on the availability of the merchandise or the cost to obtain the merchandise.Y’all the trucking crrel
The simply fact that prices didn’t fall when they replaced cashiers with self-checkout tells you all you need to know.
I never said anything about less drivers. or anything about the number of drivers. I said more hours equals more supply. 168 hours a week from AI compared to 40 hours a week from a human, (AI doesn't need rest, lunch breaks, or holidays)You Initially correlated less drivers on the road that it would lead to lower prices.
You’re right on supply and demand but not in the case of AI replacing humans.
So nobody scared to share the road with automatic cars?
