I honestly think Lupe’s big three (F & L1, Cool, and T & Y) can comfortably sit with Kdot’s big three (section 80, GKMC, and TPAB)

I'm taking GKMC and TPAB over any 2 of Lupes. F&L can go up against either of those albums though
Drogas Wave is a double album so the comp should be vs Mr Morale & The Big Steppers. In which Wave absolutely smokes it
I compare T&Y and DAMN because of the backwards album theories, although historically T&Y and TPAB have been compared they came out within months of each other.
I compare and contrast The Cool vs TPAB because they have very similar themes and concepts. TPAB has far superior production and was masterfully crafted from musical perspective. The Cool has good experimental production but Lupe on there is superior to K Dot as an emcee by a decent margin.
F&L & gkmc is the next mirror comp, it’s a toss up whichever you prefer. Kendrick clearly has the better, more consistent and impactful catalog

But Damn is a great album in similar fashion. I can see arguments for either though I know where I fall.

I’ll give Kendrick that matchup. Lupe was always dope but his best work is his much more recent stuff.
That's not true.
Wav files and king Nas on drogas wave are actual artistic, fire, sophisticated tracks
Listen to them and come back to me.
Yeah musically...gkmc has tracks that I vibe with.
Mc/lyricist wise lupe will win that always.
But GKMC is just...musically something that just has that creative and in touch cool factor that Lupe doesn't have as much a knack for.
Personally I don't think kendrick has topped GKMC.
Telling someone to go listen to those songs aren’t going to make them like Lupe if they already don’t like him lol
I feel like Wav files is legit brilliant but I get how it might not appeal to some or change any minds.
