Jodeci is the first r&b group I ever really listened to on my own volition. So falling in love with their music was like falling in love with r&b itself.

But there are some Dru Hill songs I absolutely love and are untouchable to me personally in a versus format.

Jodeci wins overall, especially if KC and Jojo songs count, but I'd be down to see them all up there performing the music of my formative years.

Jodeci are washed up, unfortunately.

Dru Hill vs Boyz II Men would be cool; but i'd also like to see a New Edition vs Boyz 2 Men.

Blackstreet vs Dru Hill might be interesting, but Mark Middleton better be there

Had the unfortunate 'pleasure':why:of having two 80 year old grannies singing 'I'll make love to you' loud as hell in my vicinity. Knew every word.
Not a pleasant sight:francis:

I said this in a previous thread, but B2M murks both them in a live show setting.
They still top notch singers. Not as good as their prime but still damn good.

Jodeci vs Dru Hill is the better matchup bc Sisqo can do his solo songs...K-Ci and JoJo can do their duo songs

The wildcard is Devonta's production credits

Classic night of f*ckery if Jodeci gets drunk

I saw Jodeci perform a few yrs ago, their classic records just resonate more, they truly have negro spirituals that touch your soul

Would be an awesome time for the tall bass guy to reunite for one night only.

Dru Hill was really dope, but they can't fukk with either Jodeci or Boyz II Men.

When they dropped, everyone said they were jacking Jodeci, and they were. But they had some joints. Thing is, you have to go with the two trailblazers. And that's Jodeci and Boyz II Men. Only thing is, Boyz II Men didn't have the variety that Jodeci had. Most of their shyt was ballads. Jodeci could give you ballads and harder upbeat tracks too. So I'm not sure how well that battle would match.

Ehh, I love jodeci but they never made upbeat tracks, they had some mid tempo joints - get on up, how do you want it, come up to my room - but Motown Philly actually wins if we looking for uptempo from these two plus BIIM has new Jack swing album cuts like sympin and under pressure

Most of the third album is upbeat joints. They also did a lot of soundtrack shyt and joints on the second album that were upbeat. Their BPM's are pretty much at the same rate as most Hip Hop records. They were using a lot of breakbeats that rappers used back then. That's why Devante used to always say that they "make shyt for the bedroom and the jeeps".

A lot of their shyt was like this during that '91-'95 stretch. You got mad variety with Jodeci.

jeep music wasn’t about being upbeat as much as it was hard hitting - xscape’s just kickin and kellz you remind me being prime examples. And that front half of the show after party hotel is mid tempo. Lastly hip hop records vary in BPM, so that’s a very loose comparison.

Jodeci wasn’t an uptempo group. Hip hop, yes, ballad, yea, mid tempo, sure…upbeat? Nah
