I break R&B into generations since the sounds were so different. Of their late 90s era? Sure. But they're not Jodeci, Boyz II Men, Mint Condition, New Edition, Guy, or other groups of the early to mid 90s.

I don't compare 60s, 70s and early 80s R&B to the 90s-2000s. All are classic eras of music in their own right.

Don't see how you can make that case. they literally changed the game at 17, 18, 19 years old. On top of that, their tree of artists that they either directly put on or later influenced is insane.

The Ink Spots were popping in the 1930's and 40's and they too qualify as GOAT irregardless if you've ever heard of them, they influenced the Temptations.

Nah not since the 80's or 90's in my opinion. Solid group, Cisqo would succeed in any era but those cats came this close to messing up a classic in "the love we had (stays on my mind)"

I agree, their more uptempo stuff isn't great at all (or even good). But they have enough influence and classics to be #1 imo

Loved Dru Hill but they were basically offsprings of Jodeci so I can't really put them above them or Boyz II Men. I'd say they got classic singles and their debut was Classic for sure but Top 3 after 1980s? Hell No, Sorry and I love them but I can name 3 RnB Groups better than them from 80's till now. Now of the 90's era, Yes you gotta give it up to Dru Hill and Sisqo did blow heavy with is debut solo so you have to include that in their legacy it's just Sisqo didn't captiolize on his debut success. Even though his 2nd album still went Platinum. Did anyone hear Sisqo's last album last year? I didn't give it a chance and he waited way long, lol:
