Outside of cartel on cartel and cartel vs government nonsense, it's a nice country to visit. Amazing cuisine, beautiful landscapes, top museums, ancient ruins. And Black people are generally treated well. Unless it's a direct threat on your life, no one should be discouraged from visiting any part of the world.I don't know why people, especially black people, are always so eager to go to Mexico for vacation.
