Detroit as a city completely fascinates me. I always wanted to visit...can one of my brehs from the D put me on to where I should stay/hang out/ drink etc? I mean it can't b all bad right? What's down town like? What areas should my white ass avoid? I got fam on my dads side in Michigan too but I haven't visited in forever. Lets get some positive out of this thread.

if you just visiting then most def hit up greektown, motor city, mgm,
you can go to Canada. its a casino and clubs over there
corktown got alot of bars as well as Midtown
it depends what age you and who you tryna be around
cuz i hear Downtown Royal Oak is jumpin every weekend
the thing about detroit is that its pretty much the hood everywhere
but that dont mean you aint safe
as a far as streets go stay away from shyt where you have a feelin you in the wrong place
detroit cats dont be lurking or loking at you liek that
but you still gotta pay attention to yo surroundings
also the music scene is BIG here jazz,blues, techno, elctric, any kind
if you a younger dude like me i suggest Midtown dats where all the college girls at
all types of flavors too
the atmosphere i wouldn't trade it for anything. Gentrification or not...the soul of Detroit will survive as long as its people maintain that attitude of "nothing scares us, nothing stops us"
u wanna walk to the stadium?? I highly suggest u take a cab anywhere u wanna go...I mean was that an overreaction? Keep in mind I literally know nothing about the city since I haven't been there first hand and like most ppl am completely brainwashed by the negative shyt I hear about it.
