Except when Cacs get offended over a “little and insignificant” thing it leads to people being blackballed and their entire futures being put in danger....
True

But going back to my statement, black Americans have also hit me with the "speak English!" nonsense too. So it's not only a "cac" thing when I say Americans tend to get offended by others expressing themselves in other languages in their presence.

Take this post for example I made 2 years ago about the same thing.

What do you think Asians at the take away spot are saying?

Or this one 5 years ago...

Me speaking in another language rude or talking about you

Basically me speaking to someone in another language and we get on an elevator. We continue our conversation. Other people that were in the elevator get in their feelings. Everyone in that story was black.

So all I'm saying is in my personal experience, yes,. Americans, black or white, somehow find it offensive or rude for others to speak in a foreign language in their presence

Lol @ the part saying it’s rude because others can’t understand your conversation. How about you just mind your own fukking business? CACs always tryna ear hustle.
I didn't read the article but I should have known :deadmanny:

Bruh we live in the twilight zone and the US by far is the softest country out here. Do you think a Chinese university in China would have that same energy for English speaking students :mjlol::mjlol:. PC is not a thing in China but it’s big here so here we are. Imagine complaining to Chinese media about your treatment as a non Chinese speaking student and getting the :beli: Look

You seriously think a Chinese university would complain about you talking to your friends in English in the student section? :why:

Breh, Chinese universities will PAY you to come to their country and speak to their students in English.

I'm having a hard time thinking of ANY other country where someone would get heated about you speaking your own language among your friends. This is a really American problem.

The irony
Once you get into upper level math courses they’re all taught by Chinese adjuncts cause all the white professors can only teach Calc 1 and Statistics
If anything college would be way easier if I spoke Chinese

I took my linear algebra class from a Chinese prof straight from the motherland. We used to clown hard in that class because I swear to God that ALL her analogies had some low-key Communist motherland vibe to them, like she would be describing matrices and then get all militaristic applying a different military rank to each set and talking about them marching and shyt.

Sorry, you just brought back memories. :dead:

as someone that strongly believes that the US needs an official language to be made a law, why should anyone care what language is spoken when folks are talking among themselves

Doggy, Americans are the only nationality that I know of that think someone speaking another language in their presence is somehow "rude".

Meanwhile Americans travel the world and speak English among themselves and it's not even noticed. Let alone an issue.

You trying to bring China into this meanwhile I have 2 friends who moved to China because they are being paid a shyt load of money to teach English. Most countries you travel to where English isnt spoken you'll run into one or two people willing to speak english with you just to practice their english in order to learn. I cant front in the U.S. i come across many people who wanna use me to practice their French too. But only in the U.S. would me having a side conversation with someone in french in the presence of a group would my action be considered "RUDE".
