Americans tend to be uncomfortable with people speaking other languages in their presence. Any immigrant or their descendants can tell you that. Nothing new here. Just one of those things you just need to be aware of, i guess. :manny:
I have not been around any other nationality where speaking among yourselves in your native language in their presence is somehow considered "rude"

Americans should get over it

Meh... Seems like each nationality/ethnicity has their own little insignificant thing that they get easily offended over so i dont let it bother me too much. If anything i laugh at the clowns and sometimes do it (speak another language) on purpose

Time for a quick :snooze:. Afterwards, I have to figure out what Imma have for dinner.:jbhmm:
Chinese?

Whenever I go to a store with a self-checkout, i always choose "Espanol" as a language. And when it starts prompting in spanish i see racist exposing themselves turning around like

This is ridiculous. I'm sure those kids are doing their best to learn the language. It's probably a feeling of comfort to speak your native language in a foreign land. Getting offended because they're on campus and speaking it to each other is the most white privilege shyt i've heard. They're probably getting paid a good amount of money to be a professor at fukkING Duke, they can deal with a person speaking broken English. And to essentially threaten their professional apsects down the road is even more absurd.
