After the Linkedin thread....How many of you have dumbed down your phone and what apps are you currently using compared to those you've binned due to privacy issues etc.

i use android debug bridge (ADB) shell to remove the extra shytware that phones ship with. shyt like instagram, candy crush, hbo max, etc. i got a Cricket phone so every system update i gotta purge like 12 shytware apps 
i have the motorola g pure 2023. its not too bad once you neuter it and replace the launcher. i thought about rooting it but i dont really care that much. just launch a shell (connect it to debug first) then run pm list packages to list packages. they'll be named shyt like com.fukkyou.stealyourdata.company so in the shell you'd type pm uninstall -k --user 0 com.fukkyou.stealyourdata.company to remove the app. its better than doing so in the applications menu because a lot of packages dont install as applications.
its worth the time to set up your phone properly. it kind of sucks that we as consumers have to do this shyt but it is what it is. sort of like un-shyttifying Windows 11 with revo-uninstaller and tweaker apps. my phone still performs great despite being a version or two behind -CURRENT.
i saved myself a lot of headache by just putting my laptop in my go-bag when im out and about. i hate doing shyt on mobile apps, especially banking!
if you have an android TV i HIGHLY recommend doing this! so many TVs are overloaded with apps that eat up all the RAM. i actually found an old sony bravia in the garbage and repaired it. free 50" TV lol, just had to factory reset it, then debug it with ADB to remove stupid shyt (who wants the instagram app on their TV? for real?) and it runs like a dream. programmed my universal remote to work with it. youtube premium is nice
