Also, no one's gonna talk about Hakeem's early exits and gloss over Duncan losing in the first round to an 8th seed in 2011. :comeon:

Dude was literally the center version of Kobe :damn:. Look at those post fadeaways :ohlawd:

Check that last pivot move into the fadeaway at 9:50 and 10:20 of that Hakeem video and watch the pivot fadeaway Kobe does here.

There's also a few videos of him making that exact same fadeaway. Same footwork and everything like Hakeem.

I wonder if that's who Jordan was studying when he was in retirement. Everyone wants to say it was Oscar Robertson's fadeaway, but Jordan looked like he took a ton of Hakeem's moves in the post for his second three peat vs the first when he was more of an attacker. As the video also shows, Hakeem was the originator of the Dirk Nowitzki fadeaway as well.

Parker and Ginobili have never started an All-Star game before. :russ: @ the thought of them winning a popularity contest.

Does Timmy have the longevity he has without those two? :usure: Answer that question.

Ginobili would have had much bigger numbers if he was the man on his own team. He came off the bench to sacrifice for the team and you're belitting his contributions? :what:

You gonna act like Spurs fans haven't been calling Parker the best PG in the game since '07? :mjlol:

So a coach "selected him" to an all star game...which is way different than being voted in by the fans :yeah ok:

I disagree about Manu his style of play is so reckless you give him 32 + minutes a night and he won\t ever...ever...ever come close to playing 82 games a season....his numbers will obviously look better but you can also shave a few years off his career as well...

Spurs fans say Parker is the best pg in the league...shocking...fans of a team say that the point guard who starts for there team is the best pg in the game since whenever...of course they do...there fans... of the team and the player :russ:

You can catch me in plenty threads talking that "Tony Parker cooked your favorite point guard"...Doesn't excuse the fact that we lost to memphis as a one seed cause they decided to let parker shoot and...he couldn't...or that he not only got cooked by goran dragic the year Timmy didn't play in the playoffs he somehow let Dragic damn near single handily beat the entire team...or how about 04-05 when he was shooting 65% from the free throw line and 27% from 3...:russ:

Starting point guard for your team and pop subbing him in and out of clothes games cause he can't consistently make a free throw and can't shoot the 3...as a point guard...

You know 07 wasn\t his first year right? You know 01 was right? Go look at Parkers first four years and tell me you ever thought this dude would be a first ballot HOF....

I got into it with some poster last year because I said the Admiral was on of the most overrated players of the 90's.

All stats, no glory.

For a big man, do you remember any memorable playoff runs the Spurs had when Admiral was the main guy?I don't

I don't even remember any big playoff moments. All the C's in the 90's had better playoff runs/moments....from.. Ewing to Dream to Shaq

Hell...even Rik Smits showed up more when it counted.

He had awesome stats & a great wholesome image for the NBA to market...That's what I remember most about Admiral.

Duncan came in and immediately showed him how it was done

Exactly stats in the regular season don't matter to me the nbs is about what you do in the playoffs

Olajuwon won a title when he had Otis Thorpe as his sidekick

From '06 on, he was a regular All-Star and always one of the best PGs in the league. That's nearly a decade of elite play. Nearly a decade in which Duncan's minutes were drastically cut because there was another player (actually two) on his team that could carry the offensive load.

Hakeem didn't have that luxury as his career was winding down. No Kawhi Leonards were falling into his lap because of great management to extend his career even longer. :smhkobe:

The gap between Robinson and Hakeem is definitely closer than the gap between Hakeem and Duncan

Hakeem is the posers go to player to romanticize. He lost in the first rd of the west like five years in a row until the Elie's maxwells horrys thorpes and smiths joined or came of age.

lmao

Youre mentioning jobber ass role players

Fact: hakeem was a better offensive player
fact: hakeem was a better defensive player

Duncan had a better career, but if were talking prime its hakeem and its not even close
