i mean sure he might be makin more MONEY as an actor, no doubt.

but imo he will never achieve in hollywood what he achieved in wrestling. he will never be as big of an icon. no matter what movie he's casted in, no matter what role he plays... no performance of his will ever measure up to what he did as the rock. that will ALWAYS be his claim to fame.

dwayne johnson is a pretty big star, but the rock was a cultural phenomenon. kids, teens, athletes, celebrities, musicians... all imitating him and wanting to be like him. selling out arenas worldwide. his face on endless merchandise. arguably the biggest star on tv for a short while.

in fact can you really say he has ever "electrified" in any other role?



point blank he is a wrestler. he will ALWAYS be a wrestler. and best believe that he will ALWAYS try and draw from that well when his career needs a pick me up. because it was the rock the millions (and millions) fell in love with first, not dwayne.
