You're angry that Scorpion King was successful? WTF:laugh:
wtf?? who said I was angry??

I'm sayin it's arguably his most successful movie to date (with him in the starring role). and of course that would be because at the time he was still so hot from wrestling. at the time he was a huge star.

the longer he stayed away from wrestling though, the more he started to flop. you can't deny that.

like I said earlier, if Hercules drops in 02... it's probably NOT a bomb. but in 2015 with dwayne johnson as the lead... nobody cared.

It opened at #2...what in the world are u talking about? This isn't no Zoolander type shyt:laugh:
of course. how silly of me.

i apologize. hercules was obviously a very huge hit. forgive me I don't know what I was thinking.

:beli:

A sword and sandal barbarian epic starring the rock made 20 million more in 2002 than it did in 2015, and that's not even accounting for the rise in ticket prices by about 35% or the advent of 3D.

In 2000 rock drew the highest ratings for SNL the entire season. In 2015 he's drawn the lowest.

isn't it possible that even though he's more known now, that he just isn't as popular?

Drawing the lowest? Nobody gives a fukk about SNL or nearly any show you can think of at that time of year. Not sure what your angle against the Rock is but he's practically a god on social media...people damn near worship that guy and want his advice on working out and seem as an inspiration..even moreso than his original run. His original run he was a massive ratings hit on everything he touched...on MTV, NBC, XFL...anything. These days he's dropping movies that have generated almost $1.6 billion in one year. lol.

I've never seen a movie he was in :manny: besides The Mummy Returns :francis:

He's clearly "bigger" by any reasonable metric as Dwayne Johnson, the actor than he was as The Rock, WWF wrestler. Whether the films he's making will stand the test of time the way his wrestling career has to the point where people can still quote his lines 17 years later and shyt, I don't know because I don't know whether the films he makes are good like that or if they're just commercially successful but ultimately disposable action flicks.

He's still The Rock to me :ehh:
