Am I missing something, is this not handled by a psychiatrist, a medical doctor, and the only event taking place is the prescription of puberty blockers, which simply offsets puberty and can begin the moment they taper off the drugs?

I feel there is mass confusion about what all this entails due to fear mongering by the right, the only thing I can think of requiring an adult brain would be surgery to the lower half, but that isn't available for minors, a doctor isn't signing off on that, I don't think one can legally consent until the age of 18, I would bump that number.

Understand, what you originally responded with doesn't refute anything I said, I even left leeway for your position. What do you think "9/10" means? Why would I ever say the surgery isn't possible? I have stated multiple times in this thread, and in the comment you originally quoted, that there are doctors that will perform it but the consensus says 18 or older, so you have to doctor fish, something I can't argue against besides pushing to outlaw it.

I mean we kind of all saw it. It's one thing for your child to be transgender, it's another thing to try and make that their entire identity.

Listen, my position, as stated multiple times in this thread, and in the comment you ORIGINALLY quoted, was that a majority of doctors aren't signing off on it.




I said "9/10", That means 90% aren't, or most aren't, but don't take that figure literally, I'm speaking to consensus. So if you find 1 doctor and post proof, how the fukk does that refute me saying you have to doctor fish, when you are literally doctor fishing by finding 1 doctor? I'm not taking this aspect seriously because you are looking for anything to defend yourself. I made my position clear for you. Also, when I say doctor fishing, although it should be clear, I mean you having to go out of your way to find a specific doctor because most won't sign off on it, like the ivermectin prescriptions, we know it's ineffective for COVID-19, but you could obviously find some doctor that will still prescribe it even though the consensus argues against it, that's fishing.


So yeah, I should have said most doctors aren't signing off on that in my original statement, reasoning being because if something isn't outlawed, you can find a doctor for anything. But typically we go off of medical consensus, most doctors aren't performing the surgery, I have yet to be proven wrong on that, it is the only thing I have ever been asking proof of, proof of medical consensus being that less than 18 is sufficient for bottom surgery. 9/10 of this comment isn't going to be read by you though, but do highlight this portion if you actually get this far, I'm just wondering.

Also, on the few that get it done, I would evaluate the situation on medical history to come to a conclusion, so if they were evaluated by a psych, which I think they have to be, and a doctor came to agreement with the psych to go through it with it, a professional decision, then who am I, the laymen, to say that was wrong? The only basis for that would be my feelings, and me feeling it was wrong.
