This could either be a bad or good gamble for the Bulls. The only way for us to find out is to tune in. If the Rondo and Wade moves don't pan out then this will do alot of damage to the Bulls going forward. Wade and Rondo need to have a good season to bring in quality free agents in 2017. I'm pissed because they never took these gambles for Thibs and Rose to try and seriously compete.
We can ditch Rondo after this season if it doesn't work out. Jimmy hopefully forms a strong bond with Wade so he wants to finish out his career with Bulls. Wade always has an opt of clause if he chooses end of season. So these aren't long term contracts if things don't work out

Quality post! Bulls better hope Wade and Jimmy mesh well with Rondo or they will have gotten finessed out this whole ordeal between the Heat and Wade. Free agents will only go to Chicago if they have a decent season and make some noise in the post season. Wade cannot go to table with the Bulls and convince free agents to come here if things don't seem like a decent fit this upcoming season, so he is going to have to make it work with Rondo. I'm not worried about him and Butler because Wade can play off other wingman who need the ball in their hands as well.

There is no guarantee that Wade will be in Chicago after next season too. His second year is an option as well.

yea, that is what i get upset about. where was the gamble on certain talent when we had the best record in the league and rose was mvp rose?
they literally needed they rep to be put in the mud, chicago to become a flat out joke around the league, ratings to drop, and journalist bashing us for entire year , in order for them to finally get off they asses and take some risk.
but as i have stated before

and this is what it takes for these clowns to get away from that conservative build through the draft bs plan that was going in the toilet, and catching up with the rest of the league by adding some intrigue to the roster and going hard , then meh whatever

i want it to work with rondo, but only slightly. i really dont want him here past this season. we have 3 great options to court next off season and would rather they be here. cp3, westbrook or kyle lowry. rondo works too good here we may get the bright idea to extend him and keep things as is. rondo is a stop gap.
im just hoping for a 2nd rd showing which is very possible. that should be enough to make us players next off season.
