Dwight's defense alone carried them on that end of the court. Hedu, Rashard, and Jameer were never known as good defenders. Courtney Lee and maybe Pietrus were the only regular rotation guys that can be graded as even above average on defense. Offensively it was just a well put together group whose skillsets complimented each other perfectly. Dwight's threat as a rim runner and offensive rebounder helped open the floor up for all the shooting the team had and gelled perfectly with the fact that they had multiple people who could playmake.
Hardly any successful team is carried but Dwight didn't have another star around him and was the centerpiece in what made the offense go and did carry them defensively.
I never denied Dwight's impact defensively. I never said Hedo, Rashad or Jameer were all world defenders. You need rotational guys in the NBA to do their job and they did just that. Everybody did what they were suppose to do. They covered each others deficiencies.
They dont make the finals if Dwight doesn't protect the rim and grab boards. They dont make the finals if Rashad, Hedo, and Jameer don't have career years.
Dwight did not carry they because he was an offensive liability. Yes they played inside out but if you are throwing the ball out to players that can't hit shots then what's the point of playing inside out with Dwight?
To your point about Dwight not playing with other stars, that's a moot issue because how many teams in the league really were back then? Off top C's, Lakers, Pistons

and u got the audacity to question my B-ball knowledge
