Good riddance.
Why y'all coming at us? Most Hawks fans don't realistically expect Dwight to come here. It's only 1 idiot running around here saying that. He's never indicated he's interested in playing here so were not expecting it. I'd rather have Al Jefferson to be honest
Real talk, don't refer to me you bytchboy. Don't talk on Hawk issues. You ain't one of us you fukking fruitcase. You the nikka NYK fans be talking about with that gay shyt.
The reason LeBron got the shyt he got was because he didn't tell Cleveland he was leaving and broke their hearts on national television.
All Dwight had to do was be upfront and say "I loved my time in Orlando but its time for me to move on and I feel the nets are my best option. Thank you to the fans and the ownership for everything"
Would he get some shyt in Orlando yea, but it wouldn't have been near the levels LeBron got. That's a weak excuse for his actions last year, he held all the chips with Billy King and he folded and ran from the table like a bytch so the 500 people who show up to magic games would like him for 3 more months.
He may find a nice home in Houston, but he is not capable of handling the NY fans and media.
So Brook can't get any better, even though he made a huge step on offense and made himself into an above average rim defender this season?
And Dwight is all of a sudden gonna just snap back into his 2009 self next season.
You may not have faith in our center, but I do. I'm not tapping his potential out 5 years into his career while Dwight gets a free pass that he can be the same guy he was before the back surgery.
listen dwight story has been talked to death
if u ever heard steven A or jarrod rudolph explain what really happen
u may have a change of opinion or...... maybe u just 1 of them people who hates him so much -it dosnt matter to u
but anyways... the CEO alex martins did dwight dirty -he basically worked dwights parents into him staying in orlando when they knew he wanted out
u can say what u want & the rest of his haters can agree with u.... but u have to ask urself 1 question chris paul did the same shyt as dwight
the differences was the hornets granted cp3 & made the trade without ALL the damn DRAMA
as far as billy goes... after the opt-in billy panicked
wallace trade was an abomination
he should have been smart enough to know orlando was NEVER gonna trade him to the team he wanted
if we would have kept our cap space for a max... even the lakers would have never made the trade for him -force orlando to lose him for nothing
i never said i got no faith in brook
he just aint never gonna be on dwight level
i swear... yall must have short memories -he did take an avg team to the finals
we just will agree to disagreeSo Martins did some low shyt to get him to stay, if you wanna blame him too that's fine but Dwight should not get away clean, at the end of the day it is his career and his decision to make.
You know I agree with you on Billy losing his mind and making the Wallace trade. But the JJ trade still needed to be made to keep Deron here.
We have gone down this road too but again the ownership was not moving a team to Brooklyn with the tagline "Look we suck big time this season, but we have money for Dwight and CP3 if they wanna come! You should defo blow your money on season tickets!"
We went from near dead last to 13th (I think) in attendance, and are top 5 in merchandise sales. That was not happening with a 25 win team. And then we are "all in" on the scenario that CP3 is gonna consider leaving the Clippers (which didn't look realistic until the playoffs, and now that he can pick a coach it's unlikely) and that Dwight wouldn't do some dumb shyt and resign in Orlando (since it seems really easy to hoodwink his parents into making Dwight do whatever they say, who can say Martins couldn't guilt him in to another contract?).
Could Billy have handled the Wallace situation better (as in never making the trade then paying him)? Absolutely, it is still a fireable offense in my eyes.
But I'm not gonna kill him for making the JJ trade to keep Deron, and then putting a bench together with basically no money and getting the 4 seed in year 1.
But he's gotta put in more work now to find a coach to match our personnel, and then retool the bench again with no money and Hump's expiring.
But what if Dwight's level is this season now? What if he can't play like the 2010 Dwight anymore?
If his level is 17-12 with rim protection and horrid FT shooting for $20+ million for the next 5 years, and Brook is 20-8 with rim protection and good FT shooting for $15 million, there's not enough difference to make me want to spend that extra 5 million a season IMO.
If I was guaranteed that I would be getting the 2010 Dwight averaging 22-15 with no injury issues then fine, I want him over Brook. But that is far from guaranteed at this point.
its not fair to judge him off this year
when at the 1st half he was recovering from injury
then u add... playing for a coach who dosnt fit his style
then to top it off... playing with a player who take 50 shots a game
with all that said -this season
D12 is still much better then lopez
at u even debating this
