It doesn't matter because the rockets are already a great offense team. Howards biggest impact will be defensively, even though if he's healthy he makes them more dangerous on offense too. I guess people,forgot about the numbers he was putting up en route to the finals. Also they don't need him to make baskets down the stretch that is what harden is for. Howard led a team with hedo turkgolu as it's best playmaker to the finals, now it's harden. Dwight sure passed the ball well enough on that team for it to have some success so the rockets will still beast.

The rockets are all about spacing and shooting, and that's without a low post threat, so imagine how good they can be with one. Rockets are more athletic also, even more than the magic teams.

Dwight isn't a low post threat tho. Unless he's using his explosiveness to dunk he's pretty much a liability cuz the last thing the rockets want is dwight at the free throw line.

It's not gonna matter though if Dwight is unhappy with the amount or success of his post touches.

Mind you I'm not one of those people saying the Rockets are gonna struggle or flame out. I'm just saying Howard effectiveness is entirely dependent on how "happy" he is and in order for him to be happy he has to constantly get touches and be able to score when he gets them.

And I'll say it again, Kevin McHale is on borrowed time. McHale is going to expect a lot from Dwight and chew him out when he's not meeting that standard. If that happens expect Dwight to get him pushed out.

all depends on his back...and to a lesser degree, his shoulder. when he's healthy he can dominate games w/ a regular ole 15-10 double double.

if he's not healthy though, all bets are off. he still gets boards, but he's not a dominant defensive presence and his offensive inadequacies are that much more blaring.

I honestly was surprised by how awful his post game really was when we started giving him the ball. I mean he was dropping the ball multiple times like Kwame out there. For his sake he better hope it all comes together cuz to be honest I think his experience in H-Town will be of him being further exposed as a fraud.

Hopefully the basketball gawds answer @Malta's prayers and blesses the league with a real big man. Send that big man to GOAT franchise.
