The two titles were announced at last year's E3 but won't be ready for a second return.
Expecting new info on
Final Fantasy XV and
Kingdom Hearts 3 at this year's E3? Think again, as Square Enix producer Shinji Hashimoto says, in an interview with Famitsu (translated by Kotaku), that new information for both titles will likely be skipping E3.
"First, I just want to say that
Final Fantasy XV's development is progressing favorably," said Hashimoto. "In the company, we're always trying to figure out the optimal timing to release new information to the fans. We decided that this year's E3 is not the most suitable time to release such information."
Although it won't be at E3 next week, we might not have to wait too long for something new. "Instead, we are preparing for an event after E3 to make new announcements," Hashimoto added.
As for
Kingdom Hearts 3, it probably won't be at E3 either.
"Right now, we are working hard on the game, and I think that we'd like some more time to make new announcements," Hashimoto said.
Square Enix recently launched its
E3 trailer for
Kingdom Hearts HD 2.5 ReMIX, containing a
release date for the HD compilation and a teaser for
Kingdom Hearts 3.
Final Fantasy XV and
Kingdom Hearts 3 are slated for release on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
