“We were hearing feedback that they love the thriller game, but it was pretty scary, and the obvious next step was that they wanted to play with someone. So we introduced co-op into the game,” she said. “The horror of Dead Space is still all there. It’s still true to its roots and no less scary, but people felt far more comfortable playing it with someone else than they did doing it on their own.”

Why dont you guys start doing some reading before you get all fired up.

You dont get it.

Making it coop makes the game easier and less scary automatically. You take away the isolation you take away whats scary.Youre left with an action game. Just look at Resident Evil five.

whats there to read ?
it says right there the feedback from people who bought the game- which was marketed as a horror game- was that they found it "too scary".
which is what most people in this thread are :snoop:ing about

the rest is irrelevant.

Theyre not MAKING it co-op, theyre just adding a co-op feature.

They're not just adding co-op, they're building the game around a co-op experience. I wouldn't be surprised if you roll around with an AI version of a teammate similar to RE5 if you decide to roll dolo. Could you honestly say RE1-RE 4 would have been as scary if they included co-op? There was nothing more scary in those games than the feeling of being alone and knowing death was around every corner. There was no teammate to bail you out when shyt hit the fan. My OG survival horror heads know what i'm talking about :youngsabo:

Co op might be fun but it may definitely take away from the feel of the first two games. Nothing like playing late at night with the lights off. It would sound like the monsters were crawling in my attic. I would barely use the run feature cause I was so sure some random shyt would jump out and kill me
