The only reason that discs are available is because they are trying to accommodate people with unreliable Internet service. If they were not trying to accommodate those people it would be all digital and they would not need drm. It would work exactly like an iphone.

Again did you watch the e3 confrences? I'm talking about SINGLE PLAYER GAMES. They are still benefited by being online. Watch a trailer for watch dogs, the crew, need for speed, or plenty other games. These are one player games that benefit greatly from being connected.

Should developers waste resources on an "offline" mode and not use the almost infinite resources of the Internet because SOME people don't have access?
Ok it benefits it , but it shouldn't have to be required . What's so hard about that idea ? How is it a waste to have a offline mode they have do make or for ps4 anyway :deadmanny: it's a basic Part of console gaming . Your confusing a feature that should complement a game with what they are making a requirement . Plus those features your complementing could be instituted without a 24 hour check in ... It's just to try and enforce the drm .

Again. It's about resources. If they don't have to worry about an "offline mode" then they can spend more time making the best part of the game even better. Again the best games at e3 this and last year are heavily reliant on an Internet connection.

How could they make a system that allows you to buy physical copies and install them to your hardrive, then play them directly from the hardrive without drm?

So basically EA took MS Money and letting them get the PR hammer. :laff:

That's what MS gets for coming up with that DRM shyt and taking it to the publishers . At least they got some exclusives out of their bytchassedness.
This is a PR war. Nobody wants to abort this baby but at the same time nobody wants to claim to be the father. EA could tell Microsoft don't put our games in that system at all. They won't because they want the system to exist just not the blame for it. Probably heated Sony didn't put it in at the system level because if it happens on PS4 they'll have to own that.

EA :pachaha:

EA already got some PR hell from the SimCity fiasco, right now they just tryna stay straight.

Also, M$ making all these changes and not budging reminds me of when the OG xbox was made to be played online with broadband only and people got PISSED. Now look at online console gaming...

:what: how the fukk does this equate to Sony misleading anything when they been sayin the SAME shyt for MONTHS now...I swear this whole fiasco is exposing alotta u nikkas as either retarded or trolls...

They have led their fans to believe there will be NO RESTRICTIONS on ps4 games. Obviously this won't be the case.

Sony hasn't mislead anybody. They are however not saying they will block any DRM on their console. They said they will block online passes for multiplayer though.

Sony said:
"No restrictions on ps4 games"

EA said:
consumers will like the restrictions we put on ps4 games

Sounds contradictory to me.

I wish Sony would come out and say flat out all games have to have the same level of playability out of the package for any gamer. no activation code can be included in any games outside of extra DLC. of course MMO subscriptions would still apply but if they said that they'd dead this.

Sony basically said the PS4 will be the same as the PS3 but they've clearly left enough wiggle room that if a publisher tries some BS Sony seemingly won't block it and will leave as an issue between the publisher and their customers.

i've been saying this all alone if Sony can tell publishers all PS4 games that don't use the camera have to be playable on remote play on the Vita then they can actually dictate what publishers and developers do on the platform universally. so they can take the option of DRM off the table period but they won't.

It doesnt matter what is said or how many times shyt is broken down to u guys...y'all still gonna try to find an angle no matter what..I been watchin the way y'all been operating...all that matters is SONY THEMSELVES ain't forcing that shyt on the customers unlike Microsoft...so what y'all need to do is worry about the reality of what will definitely be in place at launch no matter what rather than the possibility of some random developer putting DRM on their game...in which Sony has tried to clear up as many ways as they can yet ya still try to find angles...get over it...ur system that ur investing in has DRM policies built into the infrastructure...y'all was gonna cop the Xbox no matter what it did...or what policies was put in place..y'all had y'all minds made up..period...so right about now all y'all come off like y'all doin is HOPING Sony is doing something similar and tryna justify y'all purchase...let the PS4 owners deal wit that when/if the time ever comes accordingly...as of right now...y'all wishing and dreaming...cause even if a developer tried to pull that shyt...we can CHOSE not to buy the game and support the developer..something u guys don't have a CHOICE to do...it's all about CHOICES..which y'all have been stripped of...
