Keep in mind it's Cleveland, a shytty organization in a town that no marquee free agents willingly want to go. It's going to blow up in their faces one way or the other.

i dont know, mentality amongst NFL players is a lot different than the NBA. If you got money and a coach players like (especially position coaches), you can sign marquee free agents. Those draft picks are key because players in the NFL generally don't leave teams to take the same contract elsewhere, as long as you have cap space to retain talent then you're good.
