A lot of this comes from the statements that the devs put out.

For destiny they talked about "exploring the stars" and "creating your own destiny" they said it was the "largest game they ever built"

The final game doesn't really reflect these statements, people are not unreasonable to be disappointed.

THis. I would not expect to see a short game with this statement

It all uses the same levels and content though.

I fail to see much of the problem with that, seeing is that's how it's typically done. I don't believe all the enemies are all the same within that anywayz. I think only the levels would be outright the same within how it's delivered here and the levels seem pretty big so, 1nce again, why complain about it?

For me personally I do not like replaying the same area a bunch of times.

There can be 30 missions, but if they are on the same level with the same enemies it jus gets boring to me :manny:

Destiny co-op doing missions and shyt :whew: played 4 hours last night and didnt wanna sleep. Its all i can think about today. I dont think people initially got deep enough into it. Theres a ton of shyt to do all over the place. The first 2 missions are kinda just straightforward stuff that doesnt give you a sense of what the game really is.

yeah, but of course the devs are gonna front like their game is the greatest thing ever. at some point it just seems kinda 'sophomoric' to point out that PR bullshyt is mostly bullshyt

people feed into this 'hype' because they want to, and/or because they're thirsty for a new game. for months we've been hearing statements like "game x should hold me over until Destiny drops", like it was guaranteed greatness or some shyt

This is what I'm hearing...

I'm starting to regret getting this Destiny/PS4 Bundle... :patrice:

But I'm gonna wait until it gets to my crib first

War frame on the other hand is:blessed:.. But scust at purchasing platinum:scusthov:

I didn't even know what Warframe was until last week and now i can't put that shyt down. That game honestly made me wait to read the destiny reviews before buying it. So far, Destiny will not be purchased until a price drop from the reviews I've read. But yeah, fukk that buying platinum

Game is fun. Well the story mode at least. I wonder how long the story mode really is. I enjoy finishing a mission, getting new gear, then wanting to head back to a planet to try out my new weapons.

What i do not like is the repetitive environments. THATS IT!?!?!? LIKE, for really? THATS IT!?!?!!?!?!! :leon:

Game doesnt touch battlefield in terms of multiplayer and multiplayer seems tacked on.

I don't take those statements seriously coming from PR. But I do coming directly from a dev.

I've spoken out against disrespect, and the mistrust people unfairly aim at devs, but at the same time I hold their statements to a higher standard than Pubs and PR.

I can't speak for "people". But I personally fell for the hype because its bungie and I thought it would be a next gen halo game. Admittedly that's all my fault. But also bungie themselves released a game very different from the original impressions they gave
