I bet they wouldn't have felt that way if it was 2 black men :mjpls:
Eartha probably did have two black men at the same time at some point.

I don’t know why anyone is surprised that black celebrities -Eartha, Sammy, Sydney Portier, Dorothy Dandridge- they all had white partners and were trying to assimilate into white America. It was the culture at the time. No one was around saying it’s okay to be black yet.

Men want to have sex with women, we just do t respect women who have sex with a lot of men. Where’s the contradiction?
The contradiction is not expecting women to have varying sexual appetites but allowing men the freedom to go where their bodies want them without repercussion. You tie in a woman’s societal value to how many sex partners she’s had as if that’s the only thing about her that matters. People can understand why a man wants a variety of partners, but claim women cannot or should not have that same desire. From a rational standpoint, human biologies are so different, it’s ridiculous to assume it can’t or shouldn’t exist. earlier someone was trying to claim biological reasons for male promiscuity and female monogamy when in reality a lot of women want to be monogamous, a lot of women want serial monogamy, a lot of women want different simultaneous partners, and some women are somewhere between all of the above depending on their bodies. It’s up to you whether you want a woman who has had a lot of partners- I get not wanting that. I don’t want a man who thinks he has to cheat or who has had dozens of women either. However I don’t own all men and if you want to sleep around I get it. That’s your life and your needs. It won’t affect how I see you until you treat people poorly. At least Eartha wasn’t cheating on people. That affects integrity to me. She was an outspoken anti war advocate. That’s respectful in itself.

This makes no sense. People are ALLOWED to do whatever they want. Women are allowed to have whatever sexual appetite that they choose to have without systematic repercussions just like men are.

You’re trying to frame personal preference as a repercussion. You’re trying to shame men for our personal preferences. Not valuing promiscuity in potential long term female partners is our personal preference and it’s not our fault that women don’t share it. Women don’t look down on promiscuous men. Women’s general preference to not look down on promiscuous men doesn’t make our general preference a contradiction. Men and women are different.

You tie in a woman’s societal value to how many sex partners she’s had as if that’s the only thing about her that matters.
This is a lie. I don’t tie a woman’s societal value to how many sex partners she’s had nor do I pretend as if that’s the only thing that matters about a woman. This is a straw man.

Now I do tie a woman’s value as a potential life partner heavily to how she lives her personal life which obviously includes how many people she has slept with. I think that’s perfectly fair. Again, it’s not men’s fault that women have different priorities when evaluating men as life partners. Men and women are different.

Again, you’re creating a bit of a straw man here. It’s not about dictating what women can or can’t do. Women can do whatever they want. You just seem frustrated that men don’t see the world like you see it as a woman. This all boils down to men looking down on promiscuity in women and women not looking down on promiscuity in men. With this eartha kitt story there’s an extra layer when you take race into account.

I think the negative reaction from black men is almost exclusively about the positive reaction from black women. If it weren’t for those tweets celebrating the rumor on “yaaaaaaasss Queen eartha” shyt, this wouldn’t even be a thread. Remember, we just had the thing with some black women living through the chic who got engaged to the uk cracker. This bed wenching by proxy stuff is becoming more rampant.
